1 Corinthians 7:19
Det har ingen betydelse om någon är omskuren eller oomskuren. Vad som betyder något är att man håller Guds bud.
Galatians 5:6
Ty i Kristus Jesus beror det inte på om vi är omskurna eller oomskurna, utan om vi har en tro som är verksam i kärlek.

Ja, det är till och med så att Jesus menar att om vi älskar Honom, håller vi fast vid Hans bud. Så kristendomen är en gärningslära i grund och botten ändå?

John 14:15-26
Om ni älskar mig, håller ni fast vid mina bud. Och jag skall be Fadern, och han skall ge er en annan Hjälpare, som alltid skall vara hos er, sanningens Ande, som världen inte kan ta emot. Ty världen ser honom inte och känner honom inte. Ni känner honom, eftersom han förblir hos er och skall vara i er. Jag skall inte lämna er faderlösa, jag skall komma till er. Ännu en kort tid, och världen ser mig inte längre, men ni skall se mig, ty jag lever, och ni kommer att leva. Den dagen skall ni förstå att jag är i min Fader, och att ni är i mig och jag i er. Den som har mina bud och håller fast vid dem, han är den som älskar mig. Den som älskar mig skall bli älskad av min Fader, och jag skall älska honom och uppenbara mig för honom. ”
Judas- inte Judas Iskariot- frågade:” Herre, hur kommer det sig att du vill uppenbara dig för oss och inte för världen? ” Jesus svarade:” Om någon älskar mig, håller han fast vid mitt ord, och min Fader skall älska honom, och vi skall komma till honom och ta vår boning hos honom. Den som inte älskar mig håller inte fast vid mina ord. Det ord som ni hör är inte mitt utan kommer från Fadern som har sänt mig. Detta har jag talat till er, medan jag är kvar hos er. Men Hjälparen, den helige Ande, som Fadern skall sända i mitt namn, han skall lära er allt och påminna er om allt vad jag har sagt er.

Det kan verka så, men tätt efter alla dessa ord pratar Jesus respektive Paulus om Anden, om att vandra i Anden och att följa Anden. Så visst behöver vi vara omskurna, men inte fysiskt men i hjärtat, med Kristi omskärelse. Det som sker vid dopet in i Kristus. Hur gör vi för att hålla Guds bud och hur lever vi ut vår tro så att den är verksam i kärlek? Vi gör det absolut, men inte i kraft av oss själva. Vi rycker oss inte i håret utan väljer att vandra i Anden, så att Livets Andes lag tar över Syndens och dödens lag. Det kan ungefär beskrivas som att under vissa förutsättningar tar den Aerodynamiska lagen över Gravitationslagen, när ett flygplan lyfter. Den Aerodynamiska lagen är en högre lag än Gravitationslagen, precis som Livets Andes lag är högre än Syndens och dödens lag. Enbart vi som är frälsta, vi som är omskurna i hjärtat och inympade i Kristi kropp, vi kan leva ut vårt liv på det sättet att den högre lagen träder i kraft. Det är vad det handlar om och det är det som är väsentligt. Precis som en pappa vill att barnet visar sin kärlek genom att lyssna och lyda, vill Jesus att vi älskar genom att hålla fast vid Hans bud. Vi har som Guds barn förutsättningarna att göra det, men vi väljer varje dag om vi följer Anden eller inte. Den Helige Ande vill leda oss in i hela sanningen och förkunna för oss vad som komma skall. Systrar och bröder låt oss sträcka oss efter fullheten av livet med Gud! Låt oss precis som flygplanet lyfta!

Yes, there is even the case that Jesus says that if we love Him, we hold on to His commandments. So Christianity is a deed learn basically anyway?

John 14:15-26
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.
“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.” Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?” Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me.
“These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

It may seem so, but close behind all these words Jesus speaks and Paul about the Spirit, to walk in the Spirit and to follow the Spirit. So yes, we need to be circumcised, but not physically, but in the heart, with Christ’s circumcision. What takes place at baptism into Christ. How do we keep the commandments of God and how we live out our faith so that it works by love? We do it absolutely, but not in the power of ourselves. We snatches us not in the hair but choose to walk in the Spirit so that the law of Spirit of Life takes over sin and death law. It can roughly be described as that under certain conditions the aerodynamic Law takes over from the law of Gravitation, when an airplane takes off. The Aerodynamic law is a higher law than the gravitational law, just as the Spirit of Life law is greater than sin and death law. Only we who are saved, we are circumcised in heart and grafted into the body of Christ, we can live out our lives in the way that the higher law takes effect. It is what it is about and that is what is important. Just as a father wants the child to show his love by listening and obeying, wants Jesus that we love, hold on to His commandments. We as God’s children are able to do that, but we choose every day if we follow the Spirit or not. The Holy Spirit wants to lead us into all truth, to tell us what is to come. Sisters and brothers, let us reach out after the fullness of life with God! Let us just as the aircraft lift!
